The Herts Bowls Club Gala Day held on 8th February was a very successful event, bringing together bowlers from various clubs and creating a wonderful atmosphere of friendly competition, camaraderie, and community spirit. Over 70 bowlers participated in the gala day, representing clubs from across the district. The event attracted participants of all skill levels

The Herts ladies had another magnificent win in the National Top Club competition. They beat a very strong team from Upminster Essex and are now off to Leamington Spa where they join 7 other teams from across England in the quarter finals. It was a hard-fought match but they won 3-1 across the 4 rinks.

I am very pleased to announce that the National Lottery have awarded us a grant which covers the whole cost of turning the carpet. The project includes replacing all the underlay and stitching the carpet after turning. The work will take a week and is scheduled to commence on Monday 12th August. When complete the

The Herts ladies are into the last 32 in the national Top Club competition. The team played against a very strong Ashford team and won on the very last bowl of the match. Herts won the singles and rinks games but lost the pairs and triples which meant that the match was decided by shot

Following their impressive win in the Area final.  The ladies are now playing the Regional Final on Saturday 20th July at 13:30 at Ladygate, Ruislip The regional final is one step away from playing at Leamington Spa in the national finals but first they have to win against a strong Ashford Team.

The ladies team had a comprehensive win in the Area final. They won on all 4 rinks  Special praise should go the Betty Stewart for a 21 -3 win in the singles and the pair of Janet Carter and Mel Obee 25-6. Congratulations  to all who took part and we look forward to playing the
