The BOWLR system

To avoid ‘fake’ news we have decided to send out a few details to explain the above system. Firstly and most importantly, it is A Simple System To Operate. We are aware that the majority of our members are biased towards the Older Generation and therefore the new arrangements will be straight forward and easy to use.

Features

  • You can input results online from home or the club, where there will be several “Touch Screens”available for this purpose.
  • View league results as soon as they are input onto the system.
  • Make rink bookings online (There is a visual colour coded diary) and view the bookings already on the system.
  • League and competition management.
  • See match schedules online.
  • Generate reports.
  • Printout scorecards and team cards

Outdoor

As proposed the sessions will be 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The Club, Vets, District, County and National Games to be played at Home will be entered by the Fixture Secretary, on block, at the start of every season.

Members will only need to book their individual friendly and competition games.

When entering competitions, the first player, will book 3 alternative sessions, when one date is agreed, it is to be confirmed on the computer, the other 2 dates will automatically drop off, if none are confirmed, all dates will disappear. The reason for booking specific rinks is the same as the existing paper exercise currently in use.

indoor
