The Herts Bowls Club Gala Day held on 8^th February was a very successful event, bringing together bowlers from various clubs and creating a wonderful atmosphere of friendly competition, camaraderie, and community spirit.

Over 70 bowlers participated in the gala day, representing clubs from across the district. The event attracted participants of all skill levels creating a competitive yet supportive environment whilst providing a day full of fun, skill and friendship.

The day featured 4 rounds of triples with 24 teams taking part. The competition was fierce, but the sportsmanship displayed by all participants was exceptional. After a series of exciting matches, the winners were a team from Herts Bowls Club with two teams finishing joint second. The prizes for the winning teams were generously donated by the club’s sponsors ABN Contract Cleaners.

Besides the action on the rinks, players and spectators were treated to delicious food, scrumptious cakes, raffles, and beverages. 

The enthusiasm, hard work, and energy from the clubs’ volunteers were significant in making the event such a success.

The Herts Bowls Gala Day was a fantastic day of great bowling and fun and they look forward to making this an annual event with the hope of growing the great game of bowls and more importantly in bringing the community together.
